Cultural site: ROMAN CASTRUM - DOLAC

History

At the Dolac site are the remains of a Roman military camp - castrum. Excavations in 1953 also revealed the remains of a settlement. The site has only been partially excavated and the exact dates of the origin and possible remains of a military camp from the Roman period have not been determined.

Excavations of the settlement in 1953 revealed the remains of the settlement and the Roman military camp. The military camp is 32x10 meters in size, with five rooms. In front of the camp there was a training ground 44 m long and 32 m wide.2 The site has only been partially explored. The site has not been explored for 30 years, and currently represents cultivated agricultural land in private ownership.3
